This prestigious recognition was presented at a grand awards event held in June 1st, at the Hyatt Regency Rosemont, IL. It was attended by hundreds of top esteemed leaders from the real estate industry based locally and across the country.
The Real Estate Journal, a prominent publication in the real estate sector, recognized KMA Companies, along with project owner A Safe Haven Foundation, for its exceptional efforts in providing affordable housing solutions for military veterans. The award acknowledges the outstanding commitment and dedication demonstrated by KMA Companies in developing making affordable housing a reality for those who have served our country.

“It is a tremendous honor to have the Rauner Veteran Housing project by A Safe Haven Foundation recognized along with KMA Companies, as the 2023 RE Journal Affordable Housing Project of the year. It was among the many real estate projects started and completed by A Safe Haven Foundation co-founder and military veteran Brian Rowland and Neli Vazquez Rowland before they stepped down and Vazquez Rowland transitioned to Chairman Emeritus in 2022. We could not be more excited to know that the 90 unit Rauner Veteran Affordable Housing project will be among the many safe and affordable places to live for the nation’s heroes we serve for years to come. It was a complicated deal made more difficult to complete at the height of pandemic, yet despite difficult circumstances KMA leadership team was able to successfully steward this project to completion.
